Application for plant breeding rights

Bryn Aarflot

Although plant varieties cannot be patented in Norway, you may apply for the exclusive right to breed a plant variety in a commercial context. This gives the proprietor exclusive rights to produce and sell seeds, mother plants and propagating products of the variety. At Bryn Aarflot, we can identify whether the necessary terms for obtaining a right to breed have been met. We help with the application process, with the content and scope of your right, enforcement and potential conflicts.
