Expertise
Laura has extensive experience in general and strategic intellectual property consulting, including developing company IP strategies, the preparation and prosecution of patent applications, IP analyses such as Freedom to Operate (FTO) assessments, and infringement evaluations. Laura represents clients before the Norwegian Industrial Property Office (NIPO), the UK Intellectual Property Office (UKIPO), the European Patent Office (EPO), and PCT authorities.
Laura advises both national and international clients in the fields of physics, engineering and mechanics, with specialized expertise in construction, aquaculture, medical devices and Greentech technology. She has significant experience in advising startups and small to medium-sized enterprises (SMEs).
Background
Laura trained as a Patent Attorney in a large English IP firm from 2015. She then worked as an in-house patent advisor, first for Jaguar Land Rover and later for Dyson Ltd, where she was responsible for capturing inventions, conducting competitor analyses, and expanding the IP portfolio.
Laura qualified as a European Patent Attorney (EQE) in 2019 and a Chartered UK Patent Attorney in 2023. She is now the Norwegian delegate for the International Federation of Intellectual Property Attorneys (FICPI), and runs the FICPI business development group.
