Foivos assists clients with drafting patent applications and further management in the subsequent phases, he assists in opposition proceedings, infringement assessments, and freedom-to-operate (FTO) analyses. He works following a solution-based approach with a special focus on having a value-creating dialogue with his customers.

His primary working language is English, though he’s diligently practicing Norwegian. He also speaks fluent Spanish, is a native Greek speaker, and has limited working proficiency in German.


Background

Foivos holds a PhD in Chemistry from the University of La Rioja in Logroño, Spain, where he was enrolled as a PhD/Marie Skłodowska-Curie Fellow under the DIRNANO consortium. His doctoral thesis focused on the development of unnatural antigens with applications in cancer immunotherapy and diagnosis based on Mucin-1. He is experienced with a broad range of laboratory techniques, ranging from synthetic organic chemistry techniques and vaccine/nanomedicinal formulations to cell and molecular biology techniques and in vitro models.

Moreover, he holds a BSc in Biology and an MSc in Nanomedicine from the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens. During his BSc thesis, he investigated the potential of hyperthermic Fe3O4 nanoparticles in cancer treatment using in vitro models. In contrast, during his MSc thesis, he worked on the texture analysis of medical images.

Through his involvement in various research projects, he has gained valuable skills and experience in pharmacogenomics, hyperthermia, texture analysis of medical images, preclinical PET/CT imaging, and translational research.
