Expertise
Edvard is an associate attorney with specialized expertise in intellectual property law, working across all areas of intellectual property rights. He has a particular interest in trademark law and provides clients with comprehensive legal services in this field. Edvard’s daily work involves advising clients on a broad range of intellectual property matters, including conflict resolution, strategic development of IP portfolios, as well as clearance, acquisition, and enforcement of rights. His experience spans both national and international IP issues.
Edvard’s master’s thesis explored non-statutory rules on acquiescence in trademark law, a highly relevant topic in the IP field, which earned him a scholarship from the Norwegian Association for the Protection of Industrial Property (NIR). His deep academic focus on this complex area makes him a valuable resource with unique insights into the intricate legal challenges associated with trademarks.
Background
Edvard completed his master’s degree in law at the University of Bergen in the spring of 2024, with a focus on several key areas of intellectual property law. During his final year, he participated in an exchange program in Athens, where he specialized in patent law and competition law.
He also has previous experience as a trainee at a law firm and has worked as a case handler at the Norwegian Water Resources and Energy Directorate.
