Ida Monshaugen

Ida assists clients with writing patent applications and further handling of these, infringement analyses and freedom to operate analyses (FTO). She also works with identifying needs and strategies for protecting intellectual property (IP) with high priority of keeping a value-creating dialogue with the clients.
Ida assists within a broad field withing life science and health, including biochemistry, biotechnology, nutrition, health and pharma, with special competence within biotechnology and molecular biology.
Background
Ida has a PhD from the Medical Faculty at the University of Oslo on reversible RNA modifications and their roles in RNA-mediated gene regulation and involvement in bladder cancer development. She is experienced with a broad spectrum of laboratory techniques from cell and molecular biology and has worked extensively with in vitro cell culture models. She has a MSc in biotechnology with a specialization within cell and molecular biology from the Norwegian University of Science and Technology (NTNU) in Trondheim from 2018. Thus, she also has a solid competence level within biochemistry and genetics. In her MSc project she studied interactions between different glycoproteins and the lectin Siglec-9 by using Optical Tweezers to elucidate the importance of mucin glycosylation for cancer progression.
