Bora advises Norwegian and international clients in a wide range of fields, including organic chemistry, polymer chemistry, inorganic chemistry, industrial chemistry and chemical engineering. He helps them translate original ideas into valuable patent rights and has extensive experience with all the steps required to achieve this, including patentability assessments, patent landscape analyses, freedom-to-operate analyses, preparation of patent applications and further processing of patent cases.

He represents clients before the Norwegian Industrial Property Office (NIPO), the EPO and the PCT authorities. He passed the European Qualifying Examination (EQE) in 2021 and is a European patent attorney. His working languages are English, Norwegian and French.

Background

Bora holds a PhD in organic chemistry from the University of Glasgow in the UK, and an MSc from ESPCI-PSL in Paris, France. He has several years of experience as a researcher in public and private groups. He started his IP career as a patent attorney at Yara International, one of the world's largest fertilizer companies. After a year in the biotech company Amicoat, Bora joined Bryn Aarflot in 2026.
