Alexander has practiced in the intellectual property field since 1999 and holds extensive experience as in-house IP counsel in national and international life science companies. Alexander’s broad experience enables him to identify and solve challenges in a complex and continuously changing business environment. As serial entrepreneur and manager of companies within the life science and food sectors, Alexander has obtained valuable insight into the needs of SMEs, from financing and management during the vital first years, to effectively applying intellectual property to strengthen its position. This could typically imply identifying business opportunities and at the same time facing the challenges with financing and running a company the first vital years.
Alexander’s unique IP experience makes him a popular speaker at national and international universities and various events.

Through his work as IP strategy specialist at Bryn Aarflot, Alexander develops and implements strategies and counsels clients across all industry sectors. Alexander’s background gives him a unique competence towards start-ups

Background

Alexander holds a master degree in biotechnology and nutrition science from BOKU, Vienna and a master degree in IP from CEIPI, Strasbourg. Further, he is a European Patent Attorney and has several years of experience from various IP consultancy firms and as in-house counsel within the life science industry. Alexander has started several companies in the food sector as well as consulting companies supporting national and international clients.

Alexander joined Bryn Aarflot in 2020.
